After days of silence, Warner Bros. decided the most poignant way to acknowledge Heath Ledger's death would be to put a black "Support Our Troops"-style ribbon on The Joker's Web site.

    They released a statement as well. Perhaps that statement could have come up as a splash before the home page, but I don't think the ribbon is awful.
