Does anyone else get the sense that these Weekend Update Thursdays only work because of YouTube and Hulu and the ilk? Because it's doubtful anyone watches this program on its own, but it is really convenient to have bite-size clips of it ready in the morning. Sort of like SNL itself? Discuss.

Anyway, Will Ferrell gave his promised cameo on the show last night, with a marked return of his President Bush character. It was funny! Especially when he referred to Sarah Palin and Barack Obama as "the hot lady and the Tiger Woods guy."

See for yourself, after the jump:

Wow, I forgot Will Ferrell could be funny. Maybe they'll find some excuse to bring back Chris Kattan and Rob Snyder while they're at it.

Kidding. I couldn't bare that.

Ah, curses! Banish me to the land of bad grammar!!

I didn't think he was either, say what?. I guess that makes this headline sort of, well, silly. Let's collectively change it to, "Will Ferrell returns to only show he's ever done."

Case closed.

Gr, WP ate my post!!

I saiid….

I like most of Ferrell's movies too. Although I almost walked out of Kicking and Screaming, it gets funnier everytime I watch it, especially Mike Ditka.

say what?, you gotta be careful around here, grammar is a touchy subject - but thanks for clarifying! Let's set an example for the MG youngins/newcomers that making nice isn't that hard…

Did any of you see how Buchanan was bitching about SNL not making fun of Michelle Obama, while they keep trashing Palin? Um, the difference is, you stupid bigot, Palin is running for office, Michelle is not.

I had tears in my eyes over Ferrell's George W. When he said the president couldn't do anything without checking with the VP first because that's what Cheney told him on the first day, I nearly died. It's good to know that both candidates have been "heavily patriotized" and "display much characterization."

Anchorman was Ferrell's funniest movie. Am I the only one who thinks Sarah Palin shares Ron Burgundy's theory that "diversity" is an old, old wooden ship used during the Civil War era?

I've been watching them when they actually air because I have to have SOMETHING to do between The Office and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia besides eat.
